Aaron Farley/AT&T and AUDIENCE NetworkBlue Öyster Cult will be featured in a self-titled concert special that will premiere on Audience Network this Friday, September 2, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The veteran rockers will perform their classic 1976 album Agents of Fortune in its entirety on the program, which also will include an in-depth interview with some of the band’s longtime members.

Agents of Fortune features Blue Öyster Cult’s signature tune “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper,” which peaked at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album itself went on to sell more than a million copies in the U.S.

In a preview clip from the show, founding Blue Öyster Cult singer Eric Bloom points out that some of the songs from Agents of Fortune had “never been performed, even back in those days.” He also explains that the program is special because the band’s current lineup was being joined by original Blue Öyster Cult drummer Albert Bouchard.

The Blue Öyster Cult show was taped recently at Red Studios in Los Angeles. It can be viewed on DirecTV and AT&T U-verse TV.
