Courtesy Rock and Roll Hall of FameIf seeing the inductees and hearing the traditional all-star jam at the end weren’t enough to get you to check out this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, here’s more star power for you.

The Black Keys and Metallica’s Lars Ulrich, and Matchbox Twenty frontman Rob Thomas have just been announced as special guests, though whether that means they’ll be directly involved in inducting this year’s class remains to be seen.  The Hall says details about performers and presenters is yet to come.

The Rock and Roll Hall of fame class of 2016 includes Cheap Trick, Chicago, Deep Purple, N.W.A and b.  The late record producer and songwriter Bert Berns will receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award for Lifetime Achievement.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony takes place Friday, April 8 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.  Tickets go on sale February 5, with a special presale for Citi card members February 1.  The induction ceremony will be recorded for airing later in April on HBO.
