A new Grammy-sponsored charity auction has been launched in celebration of the holiday season that’s offering a variety of autographed collectibles and VIP experiences.
Among the many items up for bid are Gibson electric guitars signed by both The Who‘s Roger Daltrey and Joan Jett and by the members of Jane’s Addiction, as well as CDs and vinyl discs autographed by such stars as Alice Cooper, Aerosmith‘s Steven Tyler, David Crosby, Jackson Browne and Paul Simon.
Among the VIP packages up for bid are tickets to the star-studded 2017 MusiCares Person of the Year gala honoring Tom Petty that includes rehearsal performances and hotel accommodations for two; special tickets to a concert by J.D. Souther, including a meet-and-greet with the veteran singer/songwriter; and a drum lesson with Jody Stephens, a founding member of the influential 1970s band Big Star.
The auction also includes various items signed by Chicago, Duff McKagan, Lenny Kravitz, Dave Grohl and The Stray Cats‘ Brian Setzer. The Grammy Charity Giving Tuesday sale runs until December 9. Proceeds raised will benefit the MusiCares organization and the Grammy Foundation.
