PAUL BERGEN/AFP/GettyImagesSting has been tapped to headline the halftime show of the upcoming NBA All-Star Game.

The NBA said Thursday Sting will perform at halftime of the 65th NBA All-Star Game, scheduled for the night of February 14 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. TNT will broadcast the game, which begins at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

The announcement of Sting’s NBA gig comes one week after he and Peter Gabriel revealed they’ll tour North America together this summer.

The NBA also said Thursday that Cirque Du Soleil will perform prior to the game, “blending together acrobatics, dance and technology illustrating the story of a basketball dream.” It’s all part of the NBA All-Star “Entertainment Series presented by JBL.”
