The band’s two surviving members, guitarist Robby Krieger and drummer John Densmore, recently sat down for a chat with host Dan Rather that was recorded for an upcoming installment of the program.

According to a post on Krieger’s official Facebook page, the interview took place at the famous Los Angeles-area club The Whisky a Go Go, where The Doors served as the house band early in their career. The premiere date of the episode of The Big Interview will be announced soon.

The band members have been celebrating the 50th anniversary of the release of The Doors’ self-titled debut album this year.

In other news, Krieger will be playing a trio of concerts in the Northeastern U.S. with his solo band next month, and he also has lined up a November show at the Whisky a Go Go.
